MUSIC

We’re so excited to have folk duo fieldlily playing live. fieldlily is made up of sisters Emily and Beth who were previously two thirds of the band Wildwood Kin. They are based in Exeter and make beautiful alt-folk / acoustic music with stunning vocal harmonies.

They are immensely talented musicians and have received critical acclaim and national recognition.

fieldlily is their latest musical project and you don’t want to miss your chance to see them live!

INTERVIEW

In 2024 we were delighted to launch our podcast Hope and the City. As the name suggests it covers the subject of hope in the context of real world challenges.

Hosts Emma Marlow and Rob Fowler have covered all manner of topics on the pod including grief, addiction, terminal illness, mental health and more. All the while describing how it is possible to hold on to true hope in the face of whatever life throws your way.

At the Showcase Rob and Emma will be sharing more about the podcast and discussing some of these topics and promoting season 2 of the pod!

SPOKEN WORD POETRY

Resident poet Steve Wheeler will be performing live poetry for us on the night as well as being interviewed about his background in this art form.

He’ll share about the work he has done growing an online poetry group scratch to tens of thousands of members from all around the world. He’ll share about his passion to supporting new and unpublished poets and helping them to find an audience and publish their own work.
