Dave Simpson

Role at Cross Rhythms Plymouth: Dave is the station manager and is the presenter of the Afternoon Show and Life Stories. He has been involved in the station since 2014.

About: Dave was born and raised in Plymouth and still lives in the city with his wife Sarah and daughter Bethany. As well as his role at the station he works as an account manager in marketing at Cornerstone Vision. Outside of radio he is an avid surfer and you will find him in the ocean whenever he has the chance! He is also keen on most sports and particularly enjoys watching football and American football and will venture down to Home Park to watch Argyle from time to time.

Faith Testimony: Dave was born and raised in a Christian household and made the decision to follow Jesus as a 7 year old and was baptised at the age of 11.
As a teenager he had a time of questioning his faith and whether it was in fact just his parent’s beliefs more than his own. At around this time he encountered the love of God in profound ways at Soul Survivor and other youth camps and grew in his own faith and relationship with Jesus. He then came to the realisation that Jesus meant more to him than anything else and his faith was profoundly personal and not solely based on his upbringing.
He is passionate about people finding the love of God for themselves and coming to the life changing realisation of their value and worth in Jesus.

Favourite Food: Thai, Indonesian and anything South East Asian particularly seafood!

Fun Fact: Dave once featured on Blue Peter when the programme did a roadshow trip in Plymouth and has a coveted Blue Peter badge (although he’s not sure where it is…)
